alsation x bull x whippet? opinions please

Recommended Posts

has any one ever ran a alsation x bull x whippet? or how do you think this cross would manage for a rabbit and hare dog

Have you got one then ??? If so put some pics up, :D

I would`nt think they would be three breeds that most people would think of mixing together, in that order to make a lurcher ;)

But hey !!! different strokes for different folks,

i haven't, i've been thinking about it very seriously though it would have to be 1/4 alsation 1/4 bull and 1/2 whippet though and i'm aware its quite unusual but i think it could work :clapper:

The dog growls at kids :o , not one I'd want top take responsibility for

As for GSD lurchers, they interest me and there have been a few good articles in EDRD over the last few years, Phil Lloyd and Dave Sleight wrote ecxcellent articles explaining their versitility. Personally If I had the room, and more importantly my wife would allow me  I would like a dog of this breeding, I have a couple of GSD's, a nine year old dog 70lb, haemophilia clear and with a hip score of 2:2, this dog has great drive and has qualified in working trials. I also own his son, a 65lb four year old dog and I would like to see either of these put over a quality greyhound bitch. Both these dogs are from imported Schutzhund lines and I would only use dogs from these working lines and not the show/pet rubbish that falls apart at the dge of five. Perhaps If I win the lottery...................no perhaps if I start doing the lottery

perfect for me i hate kids :D you never know i npo i few people who have got some pretty usful dogs from this rescue.... one good pharoh hound comes to mind. they also get dogs which have been taken away from gypsys during raids on sites or actually caught in the act of poaching. they had one quality greyhound which could run paralell with a barbed wire fence and actually jump through it while chasing a rabbit. they also get a lot of salukis and saluki crosses and for a 100 they could be yours, quite a bargin if you fancy taking the risk.

Hi, I think the rescue centre do an admirable job, please don't think I'm knocking them, merely pointing out that a dog that is unsafe around kids is a timebomb ;)
